A Sunburst Kiss
She was my new girlfriend at the time, now my wife, Carlie-Rose. It was also the first time our dog Luna went camping after we rescued her from 2 years in a cage in Cyprus and it we had an amazing night on Crummock Water. We’d camped out, me hoping for stars and astrophotography, the rest of the pack just happy to be out somewhere beautiful. The astrophotography never happened as as the night came, the inversion covered us and the lake, only to burn off as the sun rise over Rannerdale Knotts. A quick photograph and the most romantic shot I’ve ever taken, it was out wedding invite in the end and it’s a very special one not just because of that, but it also had the whole pack on, including Loki who is no longer with us. A beautiful night and a stunning dawn with a Sunburst Kiss to top the experience off. Crummock is a stunning place to spend some time….
