The Orion & Running Man Nebulae
The Orion Nebula is the brightest nebula in the sky and lies in the constellation of Orion. Its clearly visible on the sword of Orion when you look up. Orion is a winter constellation so when its visible the skies are often cold and dark which is good for imaging through a telescope. The Running Man nebula is the one to the left. Both are massive clouds of dust and gas and where stars are born. The Orion nebula, also known as Messier 42 is thought to be 25 light years across and is 1,344 light years from us on Earth. The Running Man nebula is 1500 light years away and 6-7.5 light years across
This is a shot built up of a number of exposures over a couple of hours. Some longer exposures to capture the detail in the gas and some shorter ones to get detail into the core of the nebula then stacked together with calibration frames
Stunning to see something visible to the naked eye, zoomed in showing the detail. All pretty mind blowing if you ask me!
Everything is printed using the finests papers & ink so will never fade
All mounts are a light Ivory mount
Frames are traditional Oak or Painted Black
Both standard glass & ART glass are UV resistant
Everything is made locally to the highest standard using Cumbrian businesses
