The mountains of Fleetwith Pike, Haystacks, High Stile & Red Pike reflected in the mirror calm waters of Buttermere. In the skies above you can see the galactic core of our Milky Way galaxy where, 26,000 light years away lies a supermassive black hole 4 million times the mass of the Earth. Above Scarth Gap you can see Scorpius and the whole sky is full of Billions of stars. Pretty incredible what you can capture above the skies of the Lake District. Still has to be one of my favourite ever photos of Buttermere I have taken. Made up of 26 separate exposures and shows the beauty of our night skies above the Lake District, Cumbria.
It looks amazing when printed out and put behind some ART glass, so much so I'm doing another print run on it so these are now available again as a limited run of 50
