Sycamore Gap under Auriga SQUARE

from £65.00

'Sycamore Gap under Auriga'

A view now sadly no more. The beautiful and iconic Sycamore Gap just as the day turns to night and the stars start to become visible after the sunset. Taken mid-summer in 2018, the sky at that time of the year never gets out of astrological twilight, hence the light blue colour. Top left you can see the right hand stars of Ursa Major, the brightest being Dubhe & Merak. Right of these and down above the tree the constellation of the Lynx and directly behind the tree the top of Auriga can be seen with the brightest star being Capella. Above this you can see the constellation Camelopardalis and to the right of this, the Double Cluster, 2 open star clusters 7500 light years away and containing 20,000 stars. Both these clusters lie in Perseus, which you can see most of below with the brightest star Mirfak.

Everything is printed using the finest papers & ink so will never fade
