Vega over Stokksnes Sands
Vega is the 3rd brightest star in the Northern Hemisphere and lies in the constellation of Lyra and can be seen here just above the Vestrahorn and the black sands of Stokksnes. Next Cygnus (the Swan) and Lacerta (the Lizard) and some of Cassiopeia. Our sister galaxy Andromeda can be see top left. This is the most distant object visible to the naked eye and lies 2.537 million light years away
