The sands of Stokksnes with a dusting of frost as the Winter Milky Way moves across the Icelandic sky and the aurora makes an appearance over the Vestrahorn. Vega can be seen just over the jagged mountain as the Milky Arch arches up the sky to Cassiopeia, Perseus & the Double Cluster. Our sister galaxy Andromeda can be seen above left of the mountain too. The furthest object visible to the naked eye, lies 2.537 million light years away & contains a trillion stars.
