During your trip we always have an eye to the sky and if the aurora is there and clear skies can be found, giving you the best chance of seeing the lights. Icelandic skies are so dark with zero light pollution, making it the perfect location. Its a great place for astrophotography too

It’s also a very special time at the moment and into 2026 as we are in a solar maximum which means the sun is at its most active, therefore meaning a much higher chance of experiencing the amazing Northern Lights dance. I always plan to be there during (or as close to) a new moon, meaning darker skies and better views of the aurora borealis.
